Mount St. Mary's University Ready To Start New School Year

With enrollment continuing to increase, Powell said the school is looking into building a new academic village that will house around 180 students and the a series of cottages around campus to house senior students.

Mount St. Mary's University is ready to kick-off another school year with students arriving to campus as early as August 15th.

President Tom Powell said enrollment for this year has never been better.

"We are expecting 461 students, we are expecting overall around 2,000 students on campus," Powell said.

With enrollment continuing to increase, Powell said the school is looking into building a new academic village that will house around 180 students and the a series of cottages around campus to house senior students.

The University offers classes on their main campus in Emmitsburg and also in Frederick for graduate programs, working adults and for those adults who started their college careers but never finished. The Frederick campus is located near FSK mall.
