Officials are also looking at bringing in a new facility to the downtown area.
Officials with Frederick Community College are looking at ways to make the campus a little better. The president, Dr. F.J. Talley says bringing in new programs and getting rid of the old ones is one way. "We are also looking at, do we have to have another facility somewhere else in the county? Should there be a place downtown? We may, in fact, in the next five years have a facility somewhere else," said Talley.
Monday, August, 20th is the first day of school at Frederick Community College. "We're opening up with a new parking garage. We have 350 additional spaces," continued Talley. "Enrollment is down, compared to last year." According to the school's website, more than 5,000 students of all ages have already registered for fall credit classes.
