Sheriff's Office says he stabbed a woman with a sword.

A Frederick man has been charged with three counts each of first and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. He allegedly stabbed one person with a sword, and fought with another individual. Brandon L. Knill, 29, was taken into custody on Friday morning.

The Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of Lords Court in Frederick at around 2:25 AM for a noise complaint. They say they found Knill fighting with another man, and a 27-year-old female had been stabbed.

Authorities say Knill physically assaulted his girlfriend.  A man and a woman who lived there tried to intervene, but Knill retrieved a decorative sword and began stabbing the woman in the stomach and the arm. He continued fighting with the man until deputies separated the two.

Knill and the 52-year-old male victim were taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment. The woman was taken to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. Knill's girlfriend refused treatment at the scene.

Deputies obtained a warrant, and Knill was arrested after he got out of the hospital.
