People who use credit cards to park in the downtown Frederick parking decks won't be able to do so on Monday, August 27th. The city says it's updating its parking deck credit card software, and that means drivers who normally use "plastic" will have to pay with cash.

The upgrades are scheduled to take place on Monday during normal business hours.

The parking decks are expected to resume taking credit cards on Monday night, August 27th or Tuesday morning, August 28th.

The upgrades are required so the city can be compliant with federal guidelines.
