A student has been shot at a Baltimore County High school, and police say a suspect is in custody.

County police say the Perry Hall High school student was flown to a hospital after being shot Monday morning. Police say a suspect was taken into custody after the shooting but did not provide additional details.

WJZ-TV showed video of a shirtless male with his hands behind his back being put into a police cruiser.

The school is being evacuated. Police say students are being escorted to the Perry Hall Shopping Center, and parents can meet them there.

Monday is the first day of classes for Baltimore County Public Schools.

Perry Hall is a middle-class community along the I-95 corridor, northeast of Baltimore city.
