Frederick Police have made an arrest in an armed robbery that occurred Monday morning. " We received a report about 11:40 a.m. about an armed robbery that occurred in the first block of West All Saints Streets," said Lt. Clark Pennington.  "Patrol Officers were almost on the scene immediately following," continued Lt. Pennington.

The suspect was found in the 100 block of West South Street, he said.  "We made contact with our suspect, who was identified as Wendell Thomas, a 50 year old male from Frederick.  He presented a weapon to the victim, demanded money, received the money, and then he fled the area.  The officers were able to recover the stolen items when they found him," continued Lt. Pennington.

The victim was not injured.
