He shot a man multiple times then tried to flee the state to avoid prosecution.

An arrest has been made for a man who shot a victim multiple times in Frederick early Sunday morning according to Frederick police Lt. Clark Pennington.

"On August 26th at approximately 8:15 p.m., the detectives from the Frederick police criminal investigation division working with the Bristol Tennessee Police Department were able to bring into custody Rafael Lopez Cardoza who was our prime suspect in the shooting that happened over the weekend in the 1000 block of Heather Ridge Drive," Lt. Pennington said.

Cardoza was captured in Tennessee where he was headed south on a bus to flee the state and avoid prosecution. He was already wanted by the Frederick police for an unrelated shooting charge that happened earlier this month in Tasker's Chance.
