Domestic Call Leads To Drug Arrest

Police say suspect had raw marijuana.

 

Frederick Police Officers dispatched to investigate reports of a domestic incident ended up arresting a man for drug offenses. Jose Abraham Garcia, 25, of Frederick is charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute pot and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The cops were sent to the 1300 block of David Lane Monday night at around 9:24 for a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they detected the odor of raw marijuana. The officers asked Garcia about the raw marijuana smell, and authorities say he told them had just smoked it. One of the cops advised him that he smelled raw marijuana, and asked where it was. Police say Garcia turned over a plastic container with a significant amount of pot.

Garcia was taken into custody.

Officers also confiscated a digital scale.
