But it will be held at the Independent Hose Co., not Winchester Hall.
Once again, the Frederick County Commissioners will be holding a memorial ceremony at 12:00 PM on September 11th, honoring the men and women who died during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. But this year, it will not be held at Winchester Hall as in the past, but at the Independent Hose Company on Baughmans Lane in Frederick.
It will move to other fire stations in future years to showcase the personnel, equipment and services provided by fire and rescue.
County officials say details about the ceremony will be announced soon, but it's expected to be emceed by Clarence "Chip" Jewel with the Emergency Communications Department. Commissioners' President Blaine Young, Sheriff's Chuck Jenkins, President Martin Fuller and Chief Rodney Masser of the Independent Hose Company, and Tom Owens, Director, Fire and Rescue Services Division, are expected to speak to the audience.
The program will not be broadcast live on the County's Cable Channel 19, but it will be taped and aired at a later date.
