The best is yet to come at this year's Great Frederick Fair that is ready to start on September 14th and run through September 22nd.

Jim Grimes, the Fair Board President, said this is a big milestone for the fair.

"This year represents the 150th fair that has been put on, Great Ground of Agriculture Society and the Great Frederick Fair as it's known today; much earlier in life it was a cattle show but as we see it today, this will be 150th ," Grimes said.

There is a lot of great entertainment to expect throughout the week.

"We go to Thursday night with Montgomery Gentry, one of the rising stars in country music, then we go to Scotty McCreey then we go to Foreginer," Grimes said.

Other entertainment includes the demolition derby, Pistol Annies and the Gaither Vocal Band.

Around 250,000 people are expected to attend this year's fair.
