The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single vehicle accident that happened Thursday on Coon Club Road and Houck Road, in Westminster.

Authorities said the driver apparently lost control and the vehicle struck a tree. The operator, who was a female, was driving a red 2001 Toyota C10. Deputies said she was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, and was listed in critical condition.
