Police say their investigation continues & charges are pending.
Thurmont Police are continuing their investigation of large amounts of drugs found in an apartment.
On Thursday, September 6th, officers were dispatched to 10 West Main Street after citizens said they saw two individuals entering the unit through a window. The two were inside the apartment while the resident was not home. They were interviewed by police, and released with charges pending.
While checking out the apartment for other intruders, police found numerous syringes and drugs in plain view. The unit was seized while officers applied for and received a search and seizure warrant.
Police recovered drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin powder.
The resident was contacted and charges are pending.
Authorities say that unit has been the target of an investigation due to numerous complaints of drug activity.
