The search is on for a suspect who robbed the BP gas station on West 7th Street in Frederick on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a white male, about 30-to-40 years of age, entered the store, brandished a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash. He left in a white, older model sedan, heading westbound on West 7th street.

The suspect is about 5'5" to 5'8",  180 to 200 pounds, with facial hair, as if he hadn't shaved. He was wearing blue jeans and a white tee-shirt.
