A couple of people were indicted on drug offenses.
A Frederick County Grand Jury that convened for its first new term heard numerous cases Friday. "There were a couple of people who were indicted on drug offenses. Lester Purnell, Jr., Stephon Christopher Morris, Jose Abrahan Garcia, all three of from Frederick," said Charlie Smith, States Attorney.
It was a busy day for the Grand Jury. "Others indicted include Brandon Lee Knill, of Frederick. "He is facing 1st & 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment charges that stem from an altercation he was in with his girlfriend. A man and a woman came to her aid and were ultimately stabbed by a sword that Knill took off the wall and they had to go to the hospital as a result," said Smith.
Also indicted were Jamaul Leonard Petway, of Germantown on charges of 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment. Matthew Wayne Davis, of Frederick, on armed robbery charges, Robert Patrick O'Brien, of Frederick, for burglary, assault and handgun offenses, and Dale Norman Mitchell, Jr., from Thurmont for possession of a firearm.
