She tried to cash stolen checks.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman who tried to cash checks against the account of an Eldersbrug woman. The suspect is described as a Latino female in her 30's with short dark hair.
Authorities say it all began on June 7th, when the victim's purse was stolen from her vehicle parked at the Goddard School in the 6300 block of Goddard Park Drive in Eldersburg. The purse contained personal checks, credit cards and an ATM card.
Later that day, the suspect tried to cash a check at the State Employees Credit Union in Towson, but was denied because the account had been frozen. She also tried the same thing at a SECU facility in Salisbury the next day, but employees there refused to cash her check.
Anyone with information on this woman is asked to call Detective Mark Gonder at the Carroll County Sheriff's Office at 410-386-2499, or call the TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-TIPP (8477).
