They're holding an outreach on Tues., Oct. 9th.

Citizens who have questions and concerns about insurance coverage are invited to meet with Maryland Insurance Administration staff. The City of Frederick has scheduled a consumer outreach with the MIA in the lobby of City Hall on Tuesday, October 9th from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Consumers can bring their questions about insurance coverage, including information on automobile insurance, Medicare, and how to file a complaint against an insurance company. MIA personnel will be on hand to answer questions and concerns, and provide information on getting help with insurance problems.

Citizens do not need to make an appointment.

The Maryland Insurance Administration was established in 1872, and regulates the state's $27-billion insurance industry. The MIA says it makes certain that insurance companies, health care plans, and agents and brokers comply with Maryland's insurance laws.
