It will be on Friday, Sept. 21st.
Due to traffic congestion along East South and East Patrick Streets, TransIT of Frederick County will be providing additional bus service on Friday during the Great Frederick Fair.
The agency says the Number 40 Connector bus will be marked with a "Fair Shuttle" sign in the window, and passengers may board for free.
The shuttle will serve East Street from the MARC Train Station, East Patrick Street, Monocacy Boulevard and South Street, and then back to the MARC Station.
The shuttle will be in operation on Friday afternoon and evening from 4:15 PM to 9:15 PM.
TransIT officials say the shuttle will likely complete several trips per hour, but times will vary due to the traffic. Passengers can also board other Connector route buses at the MARC Station to complete their trips as necessary.
Officials also say the additional bus service will improve customer convenience. It will also benefit the community by reducing traffic during the Great Frederick Fair, according to TransIT.
