A second suspect is being sought.
A Hagerstown man has been arrested for breaking into parking meters and police are looking for a second suspect.
Authorities say from August 1st through September 15th, numerous parking meters in downtown Hagerstown had been broken into and their contents were emptied. The estimated total loss, which includes replacing the locking mechanisms, is $2300.
Investigators received information that identified the suspects responsible. Derek McMahon, of North Potomac Street, was arrested on Sunday, while Phillip James Bean, of no fixed address, remains at large.
