The Sheriff's Office is investigating.

Several vehicles in the Northbrook neighborhood in the Hampstead area were damaged early Sunday morning, and valuables were taken from more than 50 unlocked cars and trucks.   The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says the thieves took $1300 in change, portable electronics, jewelry and other valuables.

Authorities also say these individuals slashed a car tire and a convertible top on a Jeep. These vandals also pushed several vehicles out of their driveways. One traveled across the street and hit a tree. Total damage is estimated at more than $6,000.

Deputies and crime scene technicians worked into the evening on Sunday collecting evidence and processing vehicles for fingerprint and DNA evidence.

Anyone with information on this incident or has not made a report of damage or theft to police  are urged to call 410-386-2900, or the TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-8477.

The Sheriff's Office urges residents to lock their cars and remove any valuables, and report any suspicious individuals or vehicles roaming their neighborhoods.
