William Davies comes from Harrisburg, Pa.
Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg has a new Vice President for Business and Finance. William E. Davies, CPA, has been appointed to the position.
He's a resident of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with 25 years of fiscal management experience. According to a news release from the Mount, Davies worked with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts from 1995-2009. His responsibilities included long range planning, coordinating operating and capital budgets, and capital projects, including the Giant Center Arena project, which costs $95-million.
"I am inspired by the mission of the Mount as it enters its third century of service," Davies says in a statement. "It is clear that the Board, faculty, staff, students and alumni are integral to its success, and I look forward to serving the needs of the Mount in its quest to achieve its strategic priorities."
Davies and his wife, Susan, have two children: Megan is a senior at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and Jaclyn is a first-year student at the University of Pittsburgh.
