Frederick Police locked up a man on Wednesday morning for sexually abusing a child.

According to a police press release, on September 9th, they responded to a reported sex offense that happened in the 1300 block of David Lane in Frederick.

Detectives determined that Christopher Darnell Alexander sexually assaulted a 7-year-old child that he had been watching. An arrest warrant was issued for him and this morning he was located on Heather Ridge Drive and taken into custody.

Alexander is charged with sex abuse of a minor, third degree sex offense and second degree assault.
