The Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring its annual Dementia Conference for the public on Thursday, October 11, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Mount St. Mary's Conference Center, located at 5350 Spectrum Drive in Frederick.

The Western Maryland Dementia Conference will include speakers Julia Pedroso, Research Nurse Manager at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Bill Bugg, author of "Soaring Above Adversity", and Bobbi Duffy, Clinical Director at MedOptions. Local health care providers will share information about services available to support caregivers.

The cost to attend the conference which includes breakfast is $10.00 for family caregivers and $25.00 for professionals.
