Police are continuing to investigate.
Frederick Police are continuing their investigation of a fatal shooting early Sunday morning.
Lt. Clark Pennington says shortly before 2:00 AM, police began receiving calls of shots fired in the 100 block of West All Saints Street. He says officers on patrol in the area also heard gunfire.
Sometime afterward, authorities received reports of someone who had been shot in Mullinex Alley next to Mullinex Park. "When they arrived, they located a single victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead," says Lt. Pennington.
He says detectives were dispatched to the scene, and are continuing to gather evidence. "We're backtracking not only the information of where he might have been prior to, where he was headed to, some of his acquaintances, friends that might have information" says Lt. Pennington. "And we're asking anyone with information on this case to give us a call at 301-600-TIPS."
Police say when you call the Tips line, you can remain anonymous.
