The General Assembly needs six high school seniors from Frederick County to work as pages during the 2013 session. The students will serve two non-consecutive weeks in Annapolis in either the House of Delegates or the State Senate.
Their duties include being present to distribute materials to members, assisting visitors, delivering messages, running errands and keeping members' bill books up to date. They will not work for delegates' or senators' offices.
Interested seniors should ask their school's page coordinator or principal for an application. Each county high school may nominate one student who must attend the October 29th selection forum.
By November 15th, the Speaker of the House of Delegates and the President of the Senate will notify students selected to participate.
