Sheriff's Office Investigating Suspicious Incident

A girl was offered a ride to school by a stranger.

 

 

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious incident on Tuesday morning.

Authorities say at around 6:10 AM a man driving a dark, four-door sedan slowed down to speak to a student who was waiting for the school bus along Pleasant Walk Road in the Myersville area. He asked the student several times if she wanted a ride to school. The girl said no, and ran back into her home. l The motorist drove away.

He's described as a white male, lean build, about 30 to 40 years of age.

The Sheriff's Office says it will have an increased presence in the area over the next few days.
