This follows a three-month renovation.
The Church Street Parking Deck in Frederick will reopen to all daily and monthly traffic on Friday, October 19th at 4:00 PM. Monthly parkers who are assigned to other garages will be allowed to return to the Church Street facility on Monday, October 22nd.
The deck had been closed for three months for renovations and rehabilitation.
When it opens on Friday, the Church Street Parking Deck will have 393 spaces, along with six handicapped spaces on level one.
The City says some peripheral work will still take place over the next few weeks, but it will not affect parking in the garage in any way.
In a news release, officials say the recently completed rehabilitation project will extend the lifespan of the Church Street Deck for seven to ten years.
"We appreciate the patience of our merchants, residents and visitors during this renovation period," says Mayor Randy McClement, in a statement. "Everyone was understanding and worked together to minimize the inconvenience. The result is a safe and convenient facility that will last for years. We thank you for working through this with us."
