Thousands of Potomac Edison Customers In The Dark Due To Storm

Potomac Edison reports thousands of customers in Frederick County are without power.

Thousands in the region are in the dark as the remnants of Hurricane Sandy moves through the area.

Potomac Edison reports 11, 869  customers in Frederick County are without power.

Other power areas reporting power outages are: 1,466  in Washington County, 1,198 in Montgomery County,  3,830   in Berkeley County, West Virginia, and 591  in Adams County, Pennsylvania.

Power company officials say, for your safety stay away from all power lines. Assume they are live and dangerous.

If you have a downed power line or another hazardous situation, call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) immediately.
