The shelter is at the new Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company.
An emergency shelter is being provided for residents in Brunswick who have lost power due to Hurricane Sandy. "I understand there are over 2,300 customers without power," said Carolyn True, spokeswoman. "We have a few people at the shelter right now. We have staff people there, as well as people from the American Red Cross. They are providing free meals. People can come and get warm. If they are without power, or just need assistance, they are certainly welcome," continued True. She said the station is not equipped to handle pets.
The shelter is currently open at the new Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company, located at 1500 Volunteer Drive, in Brunswick, Md.
