Authorities say some are closed

Frederick Police are urging motorists to stay off of the roads unless it's necessary. Authorities say several roads are closed due to downed power lines and trees. Those roads are: West 4th Street to Market Street and Klinehardt's Alley; Center Street between South and Washington Streets; 7000 Rock Creek Drive; 1005 East Bourne Terrace, where a tree is down; the 1900 block of Shookstown Road; North East Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets; Military Road at Lee Place.

The city's Public Works department is working to reopen these roads.

You can report any downed power line or tree by calling 911, or 301-600-2100.
