Many local homes and businesses are still without power, three days after Hurricane Sandy blew through the area.

Potomac Edison reports 5,136 customers in Frederick County are without the juice.

Other areas reporting power outages are: 230 in Washington County,430 in Montgomery County, 708 in Berkeley County, West Virginia and 76 in Adams County, Pennsylvania.

Power company officials say, for your safety, stay away from all downed power lines and assume that they are live and dangerous.
