Carroll County Deputies Seek Assistance With Identifying Thieves

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the identity and location of two suspects who purchased more than $400 of gift cards and other merchandise at three Eldersburg businesses using a debit card belonging to a Sykesville man. The victims’ card was obtained after he left it in a local ATM machine following a transaction on September 8th, 2012. Investigators believe the suspects recovered the card from the machine, making six purchases over the three days that followed before the victim discovered his card missing and closed the account.

· On September 9, 2012 at 7:45 pm, the suspect purchased $2 of merchandise from the Shopper’s Food Warehouse located at 6300 Georgetown Boulevard, Eldersburg.

· On September 9, 2012 at 7:51 pm, the suspect purchased $36 of merchandise from the Martins Food Market located at 1320 Londontown Boulevard, Eldersburg. As second purchase of $284 of merchandise from the Martins Food Market was made a few minutes later at 8:07 pm.

· On September 11, 2012 beginning at 4:49 pm and again at 8:38pm, the suspect made two separate gas purchases totaling $1 each from Eldersburg Gas Stations. At 10:07 p.m. they returned and made a purchase of $109 at the Martins Food Market in Eldersburg.

The suspects are described as; white males, early to mid 20’s, approximately 5’10" to 6’ tall, thin build with dark hair. (See attached photographs).
