A shots-fired incident is under investigation in Frederick.

Police officers responded to the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Hope Circle in the Sagner area after receiving reports of gunshots. Authorities determined that several shots had been fired in the neighborhood. Witnesses told officers an African-American male was seen running from the area, and may have gotten into a red minivan.

Police say the investigation is preliminary, and no other details are available.
