The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident left the scene.
Troopers from the Hagerstown Barrack say the driver of a gray pickup truck, caused a collision on I-70 this morning and then left the scene.
Investigators said Mark Williams, of Middletown, was driving east on I-70, in the left lane, when a large gray pickup truck attempted to move from the middle lane, into the left lane, forcing Williams' car into the center median, where he then lost control and struck the guardrail on the right shoulder, before spinning back into the travel lanes. His vehicle was then hit by a 1999 Kenworth dump truck. Williams had to be flown by Trooper 3 to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
