Energy Smart-Weather Wise Program

It's being offered by the Frederick County Department of Aging on Saturday.

As winter weather approaches, there are many ways to make your home more energy efficient to reduce home heating costs. Energy Smart, Weather Wise is being offered by The Frederick County Department of Aging on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 9am to 1pm at the Frederick Senior Center.

A number of exhibitors, including Potomac Edison, Frederick Community Action Agency, Frederick County Office for Sustainability and Environmental Resources, Maryland Energy Assistance Program, Maryland Clean Energy Center, Atlas Home Energy Solutions, Glory Energy Solutions, and others will be on hand to demonstrate products, and provide information and applications for home energy audits, fuel assistance programs and emergency preparedness.

A number of speakers will address specific topics throughout the day such as applying low-cost weatherizing products, explanation of home energy audits, and how to avoid scams and fraud.

This event is free and open to the public. Older adults and veterans are especially encouraged to attend.

The Frederick Senior Center is located at 1440 Taney Avenue, Frederick, MD.
