A special ceremony to celebrate veterans and their families will take place at Frederick Community College. "You Are Remembered" will be held Monday, November 12th. Rachel Nachlas, FCC Verterans Services Coordinator, said the event will honor more than 6,000 lost service members.

"I think we need to send a message to our troops that are currently serving and to our students that the sacrifices they've given haven't been unnoticed and that we recognize their service and the sacrifices that families have made and the ultimate sacrifice that many service members have made by giving their lives," said Nachlas.

The event will begin with a 'welcome' from FCC's President, followed by a moment of silence. Volunteers will then read the National Roll Call of names of fallen soldiers from Afghanistan and Iraq.
