Captain Tom Ledwell has been named Acting Chief of the Frederick Police Department. He officially takes over that position at the close of business on Wednesday, December 5th. Ledwell replaces Chief Kim Dine, who is leaving to accept the position of Chief of the U.S. Capitol Police. Mayor Randy McClement said in a news release that Captain Ledwell has 20 years experience as a Frederick Police Officer, including 13 years of Command Staff experience.

"I am very certain that Captain Ledwell will serve the City in a confident and knowledgeable manner and I look forward to working with him during this time," said McClement.
