They were rendered harmless, and no one was hurt.
The Hagerstown City Fire Marshal's Office is investigating an incident early Tuesday morning involving explosive devices.
Police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Prospect Street at 2:14 AM to look into reports of shots fired, and found several chemical reaction devices that had been set off.
The Fire Marshal's Office was sent out to the scene, and rendered the devices harmless. No injuries were reported and no evacuations were necessary. The last units cleared the scene by 3:50 AM.
