Thurmont Police Investigating Attempted Abduction

A tip reward is being offered for information.

Police in Thurmont say a man attempted to abduct an eleven year old girl Wednesday. Authorities said the female was walking on East Main Street, when a small yellowish tan colored four door sedan, driven by a male, pulled along side the curb and ordered her to get into the vehicle. Police said the girl ran to a local business and the suspect drove away. He's described as white, in his late 30's, with a brown beard and was wearing glasses.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information is asked to contact Thurmont Police. A tip reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the criminal.
