The last day residents can put out leaves is Dec. 20th.
The annual Leaf Collection Campaign in the City of Frederick comes to an end on Friday, December 21st. The Department of Public Works says the last day residents can set out leaves to be collected is Thursday, December 20th.
Officials say if you have to put leaves in the gutter before collection, leave them in a lower pile so that the street sweeper can have an easier time cleaning the streets. And spray the piles down with water to prevent them from blowing away when it's windy.
The city says use off-street parking during leaf collection time, if it's available.
Yard Waste collection will continue as scheduled during the Leaf Collection Campaign.
