New President Elected By Fair Board, Agricultural Society

John Bare takes over the job from Jim Grimes.

 

A new President of the Frederick County Agricultural Society and the Great Frederick Fair has been chosen. John Bare was elected, replacing Jim Grimes who had been President for the past three years.

In a statement released by the Agricultural Society and Fair Board, Bare says he wants to move forward, in the areas of agricultural education, family entertainment and maintaining a positive presence in the city and the county business sectors.

Joseph Devilbiss was elected Vice President, Robert Frank was re-elected as Secretary, and Maurice Gladhill was re-elected as Treasurer.

Ann Rollins was re-elected as legal council for the Agriculture Society, and Tim Horman was chosen as legal council for the Fair Board.

Both boards honored James "Doc" McClellan and John Bell for more than 70 years  of combined  service to the Agricultural Society and the Fair Board.

The Great Frederick Fair will be held from September 13th through the 21st, 2013.
