Frederick Police arrested three individuals Friday night and charged one with being in possession of spice. It happened in Tasker's Chance when officers saw a suspicious vehicle parked in the 100 block of Chestnut Hill Way.
Joseph Washington and Marcellus Walker, both had outstanding warrants. Kiara Walker was in possession of an opened package of synthetic cannabinoid called 'Dead Man Walking', which is illegal in Frederick. All three were taken into custody.
Another local resident was arrested Friday night. Samuel Mawyer, of Key Parkway, was placed under arrest after an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from an alley in the 100 block of South Market Street.
When the officer went to investigate he saw a parked vehicle, with Mawyer seated inside and flakes of marijuana on his shirt and jeans. After a search was conducted the officer found a pipe and some weed.
