After a day of deliberation, the jury in the case of a 2011 death of 26-year-old Craig Edward Myers ruled three men not guilty on charges of murder and assault.

John D. Robey, 53, and his sons, Jonathan L. Robey, 21, and Thomas J. Robey, 23, all of Hagerstown, were charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and three assault charges related to Myers’ death. The jury found each not guilty on charges of first- and second-degree assault, as well as the conspiracy to commit second-degree assault. The three were subsequently found not guilty on charges of manslaughter and murder.

Myers, of Rocky Ridge, was found lying unconscious on the ground of the Crossroads Inn parking lot on Aug. 28, 2011, at the 6600 block of Middleburg Road in Keymar. He died four days later at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Michael Jay Grimes, 48, of Woodsboro, has also been charged with manslaughter and assault charges, but has not yet gone to trial.
