National Weather Service issues high wind watch for our region.

Because of the high wind watch the National Weather Service has issued for Saturday, Potomac Edison crews are making preparations for possible power outages. Spokesman Todd Meyers said they started getting their crews in place on Monday. "Normally, line crews would be taking holiday leave with their family, so we needed to make sure that we had adequate staffing. We are sending some of our line men home with Ready Response Trucks. This way they can roll right to the targeted area from home," said Meyers.

Weather officials say wind gusts could be as high as 60 mph in our region.

Meyers says if you should experience an outage or see a downed line call 1-888-Lightss, which translates to 1-888-544-4877.
