Hagerstown Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery. It happened Friday evening on East Franklin street, at Second Chance Bail Bonds.

Authorities said an unknown African American man and a white male entered the business with bandanas on their faces and gloves on their hands. Police said they demanded money from the employee, but the clerk told them there wasn't any. Authorities said that's when the white man pulled out a silver revolver and stated that the employee was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The employee said a siren could be heard in the background and believed the noise frightened the suspects off. Both fled the scene on foot without taking any cash.
