Police Make Another Arrest In Hillcrest Dr. Shooting

Another 17-year-old is charged as an adult.

 

Frederick Police have made another arrest in connection with a shooting on Hillcrest Drive on December 19th.  Cory Aaron Nowalk, 17, of Split Rail Lane in Frederick, is charged as an adult with wearing, carrying and transporting a handgun, and being an accessory after the fact to  1st-degree assault.

Investigators say after the shooting, the handgun was given to Nowalk, who then gave it to another individual for disposal. Nowalk admitted to his involvement and led  detectives to the location of the handgun. Police say the gun was recovered, and is believed to have been used in the shooting.

A warrant was issued on December 22nd, and it was served to Nowalk on Wednesday, December 26th at his home.

Authorities have charged Dylan Gray, 17, of Frederick as the shooter in this incident, which remains under investigation.

The victim, a 16-year-old male, was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with a gunshot wound to the chest.
