Frederick City Police are investigating a stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning.

According to a press release, officers responded to the 1400 block of Key Parkway at 5:14 a.m. Once on scene they found a man in front of an apartment building suffering from a stab wound to his head.

The victim told police that he was stabbed after a fight earlier in the evening.

The man was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
