Several people were arrested and charged with drug offenses early Saturday morning near West 7th Street and Route 15.

Frederick City Police stopped a vehicle after he saw the front seat passenger throwing items out of the window. Mandana Manii, of Virginia, was issued a citation for littering. She also admitted to having a marijuana smoking device in her pocket, authorities said. The driver of the car, Samantha Hoatling, of West Virginia, had a suspended license and a small amount of marijuana, as well.

One man was arrested early Saturday morning after members of the Frederick Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an operation in the 1000 block of West Patrick Street.

Authorities said Mario Ernesto Alfaro-Ramos was charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana after he attempted to make a purchase from an undercover officer.

A juvenile who was with Alfaro-Ramos was not charged, and police called a parent to pick him up.

A citizen's complaint about a suspicious vehicle parked in the 100 block of Cavenrock Court Friday night, led to several people being arrested for drug offenses. When Frederick Police arrived five subjects were seated in the car and officers said they could detect the odor of burning marijuana. Stephanie Wilson, of Woodchuck Lane, and Arya Karimian, of Harvest Drive, were both issued criminal citations.
