A 21 year old Frederick man and a 16 year old from Mt. Airy were arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit burglary. The Frederick County Sheriff's Office said the 16 year old was referred to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.

The incident happened Monday morning when deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Wicomico Drive. When they arrived, they located the vehicle and learned that it was stolen from Carroll County. James Hinds, who was standing near the car was immediately arrested.

Deputies gave chase to the teen. Before they caught him, they saw him throwing jewelry out of his pockets. Investigators learned that a home in the 100 block of Dorchester Drive had been robbed.
