Council members voted unanimously to continue fighting to keep a gas compressor station out of their town.
The Myersville mayor and council members voted unanimously to continue fighting to keep a gas compressor station out of their town.
The members agreed on Tuesday to request a rehearing on the case because of the town's concerns of the negative environmental impact the compressor will have including the air quality in the town.
On December 20th, the Federal Regulatory Commission approved, with conditions, a certificate to allow the building of an interstate natural gas pipeline and storage facilities in Myersville.
Town officials will have until January 22nd to submit their request for another hearing.
