A Frederick man has been charged with malicious destruction of property. Mansour Alain Mbaye, 22, was arrested Thursday morning in the 100 block of Willowdale Drive.

Police were called to the scene after a resident called and complained that someone was breaking out the windshield of  his car with a folding chair. An officer arriving at the scene saw Mbaye walk away.  He was detained.

Several witnesses told the officer they saw Mbaye grab a folding lawn chair and smash the windshield of a parked car.

He was taken into custody.
